Letter from the President of the East Pennsboro Education Foundation

First, I want to thank the East Pennsboro Education Foundation Board of Directors for electing me this past October as its President. Leaders prior to me were outstanding and I am humbled to be following their footsteps. Next, I and the EPEF Board of Directors are pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Jacqueline SmithBennett to perform the duties of Executive Director. With a background encompassing continuing education, executive level administration, marketing, event planning, and participation on numerous community boards, Jacqueline brings a wealth of expertise to our Foundation. She will support the EPEF’s tradition of providing support to innovative programs that promote academic excellence and educational quality for the students of East Pennsboro Area School District. We are looking forward to a future of exciting growth with Jacqueline’s guidance.

The East Pennsboro Education Foundation is an independent, community based organization that raises money to help the school district. Over the past 19 years, we have been fortunate to have a very strong relationship with the school district’s administration and representatives of the School Board who regularly attend our meetings and provide input. During this administrative year, sustaining relationship with the entire East Pennsboro School District and our community continues to rank high with the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Annually we reach out to residents with Spring and Fall events, and on March 25, 2017 the Board of Directors will once again host Monte Carlo Night. The entire East Pennsboro community is invited to join us at Central Penn College for an evening of food
and fun. We appreciate the good company of loyal, generous supporters who understand the importance of augmenting public education.

We are off to a promising 2017 with the acquiring of our Executive Director. The entire East Pennsboro Education Foundation Board welcomes Jacqueline. More, we welcome the engagement of you, our community, businesses, alumni and anyone else with a passion for helping children to learn.
